I read the autobiography of Marilyn Manson recently... the word that comes to mind is depraved. There is some really disgusting parts in that book, and some really weird stuff, too. What a story, though. I don't really dig his music, but I can respect his persistence. The message I took away from it all is that the only way you can really succeed in life, the only way you have a chance at actually making your dreams a reality is to by demanding that sort of attention. By demanding that you are worth listening to, and that what you are doing is real and that it really matters. No one else will give you the time of day or any sort of respect unless you demand it. He's totally right on that point.

The book sort of reminded me of this old video, too, mostly because he hung out with Trent Reznor a lot.
